Static non-contact four-wheel alignment device Working principle
Jun 24, 2026

The static non-contact four-wheel alignment device projects over 100000 data acquisition points on car tires through a patented projection lamp design. The 3D scanning camera in the measurement unit determines the geometric position parameters of the vehicle wheels from the 3D scanning of the vehicle wheel surface, and transmits the obtained images to the computer through a network protocol. The exclusively developed software calculates the data of each wheel based on real-time images and calculates other corresponding data based on the spatial position of each tire.
The non-contact static four-wheel alignment device includes an automatic locking turntable assembly, a rear wheel sliding plate device, a synchronous operation display and fixing device (ground+pit), a cabinet, a steering wheel level and calibration device, and a dedicated calibration frame for the four-wheel alignment device.
The wheel alignment device can include 2 to 12 measurement units that implement a machine vision system. Each unit has multiple cameras and one or more structured light projection systems. The vehicle to be measured for wheel alignment is placed in the field of view of the camera. The projection system projects the dot pattern onto the wheels. The camera scans the wheels, and the wheel locator software reads the deformation of the projected pattern to determine the position of each wheel in space. In other modifications, the front measuring unit scans the front wheels, while the rear measuring unit scans the rear wheels. To accommodate various wheelbases, the rear measuring unit can be moved. According to the modification, they can rotate or move back and forth. In order to track the position of the rear measurement unit, the wheel alignment device has a side target on the rear unit and a side camera on the front unit. The wheel alignment tool software has implemented a user-friendly interface, making the operation of the wheel alignment tool easy. To turn on the camera and the projection system of the measurement unit, press the on/off button on the side of the measurement unit. To detect any errors in the measurement of the four-wheel alignment instrument and adjust its capacity accordingly, the four-wheel alignment instrument can be calibrated.
